Pô:A man in his fifties seriously injured his wife and then took his own life in sector 03 of Pô on the night of October 21-22, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, witness statements from neighbors indicate that the incident occurred between midnight and 1 a.m. The man reportedly used a knife to wound his wife seriously before hanging himself.

The injured woman received emergency care and was initially taken to the Pô Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA). She was later transferred to the Manga Regional Hospital Center (CHR) and has since been moved to Ouagadougou for further treatment.

Following the incident, officers from the Pô Central Police Station, along with health workers, conducted the necessary procedures at the scene. The deceased's body was subsequently buried in his family compound. Authorities have opened an investigation to determine the motive behind the act.
