Komsilga:The Komsilga municipal special delegation celebrated academic excellence on Saturday with an awards ceremony recognizing top students and teachers. The goal was to promote merit and encourage high performance within the educational community.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the 2026 edition of the ceremony was held under the patronage of the governor of the Kadiogo region, Abdoulaye Bassinga, and centered around the theme "Renewal of the Burkinabe school value and innovation in the service of academic excellence in Komsilga."

The event gathered administrative authorities, education stakeholders, parents, and local partners to celebrate the efforts of students and the commitment of teachers in improving academic results in the municipality. This initiative by the special delegation aims to foster healthy competition among students and to recognize and reward good work, while expressing the community's gratitude to instructors for their dedication to education.

Winners were awarded certificates of merit, school supplies and kits, bicycles, laptops, and motorcycles, as a means to encourage continued effort. A standout moment of the ceremony was the awarding of a new motorcycle to the top student for the baccalaureate exam, recognizing their academic record of rigor and diligence.

Additionally, the three best teachers in the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) exam were each rewarded with a new motorcycle, reflecting the municipality's gratitude for their educational commitment and contribution to student success. By including teachers in the awards, the organizers highlighted the role of the educational community in the pursuit of excellence.

The success of the ceremony was bolstered by the involvement of partners, notably the company Abdoul Service, which contributed four new motorcycles, three laptops, and numerous school kits. This support demonstrated the private sector's involvement in local educational initiatives.

Municipal authorities praised the collective efforts of parents, teachers, and partners, emphasizing the importance of community mobilization in supporting students and fostering educational development.
