Niangoloko:The President of the Special Delegation of Niangoloko, Ousséni Ouédraogo, has urged residents to be cautious about the subdivision and illegal sale of land parcels. This warning was issued in a statement released on Tuesday.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the appeal follows incidents of unauthorized individuals engaging in the subdivision and sale of plots without the necessary permissions and administrative documentation from relevant authorities. These activities have persisted for several years, resulting in victims among unsuspecting citizens.
The statement highlights that some buyers have acquired cadastral extracts that are not recognized by the official land registry services in the Tannounyan region. These documents include areas designated for green spaces, reserves, and school sites. The municipal PDS denounced these practices, emphasizing that they disrupt public order, hinder the municipality's development, and infringe upon the rights of law-abiding citizens.
The PDS calls for an immediate cessation of these illegal activities, warning that offenders could face administrative sanctions, legal actions, and annulment of improperly obtained documents. Measures to restore legal order, including compensation for affected victims, may also be implemented.
Furthermore, the statement urges individuals with information about these illegal acts to report them to local authorities. The PDS cautions the public against purchasing land from unauthorized sellers, as such transactions may result in financial losses due to irregularities. Citizens are advised to verify the authenticity of documents and the legality of transactions before proceeding with any land purchases.
Through this call to action, the special municipal delegation aims to raise public awareness about the dangers of irregular land transactions and encourages residents to utilize legal administrative channels for land acquisitions.
