Bobo-Dioulasso:The commander of the second military region, Lieutenant-Colonel Lassané Porgo, has called on the residents of Bobo-Dioulasso to express their support for the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) through tangible actions rather than mere declarations. This appeal was made on Saturday, October 31, 2026, during a gathering where the local population and the National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC) reaffirmed their backing for the RPP.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Lieutenant-Colonel Porgo emphasized the importance of translating patriotic commitments into real support for the fighting forces. He highlighted the need for actions beyond speeches and demonstrations, stating that genuine love, support, and commitment are vital for continued efforts.

The commander stressed the necessity for greater cohesion among the security forces, including the gendarmerie, forestry service, and municipal police, urging them to work in a spirit of complementarity without seeking individual recognition. He noted that no commune remains in the region, and the encouragement from the local population is a vital source of motivation for the fighters.

Lieutenant-Colonel Porgo reiterated the commitment of the fighting forces to their mission and urged the people of Guiriko and all Burkinabè to maintain national unity and avoid divisions. He underscored that the peace and stability of the country are a collective responsibility.
