Pouni:The territorial gendarmerie brigade of Pouni held its monthly flag-raising ceremony on the morning of Monday, November 2, where Major Soukian André Ouedraogo was officially introduced as the new Brigade Commander to the local authorities.

According to Agence d'Information du Burkina, the event was presided over by the President of the Special Delegation of Pouni, Camarade Nadine Tiémounou/Badiel. The ceremony was attended by officials from the Defense and Security Forces, service heads, and traditional leaders.

During the event, following the flag-raising ceremony, Major Ouedraogo spoke to introduce himself and outline his strategic plans. He emphasized his commitment to continuing the work started by his predecessor, noting the importance of maintaining calm in the area in the fight against terrorism and organized crime.

Major Ouedraogo also highlighted the need for close cooperation between the community and the Defense and Security Forces. He encouraged the public to cooperate by reporting any suspicious activities and adhering to security guidelines to support the missions of the Defense and Security Forces and sustain peace in the region.
