Burkina: 747 new police sub-officers swear to be honest

747 new NCOs of the National Police were sworn in on Wednesday before the High Court of Ouaga1 (TGI1), where they swore to fulfill their missions with discipline and integrity, said noted the AIB on the spot.

These NCOs have promised to work in strict compliance with the law and to submit to its obligations.

"I swear on my honor to fulfill my profession with discipline and integrity in strict compliance with the law and to submit to the obligations it imposes on me", pronounced each of the NCOs of the national police, during taking the oath.

During the said ceremony, seven hundred and forty-seven (747) non-commissioned police officers were sworn in before the President of the Tribunal.

The Director General of the National Police School (ENP), Divisional Police Commissioner Oumarou Songnè indicated that "this swearing-in is not a formality, as some may think, but commits new police officers more to their obligations, to work for the respect of human rights, to make themselves available to the population and to do their work with professionalism".

"I invite them to be more professional, not to devote themselves exclusively to their mission as public police officers, but to be daily companions, for the benefit of the population," said the President of the Ouaga High Court. 1, Numbered Abass.

According to Article 91 of Law No. 027-2018-AN on the status of the national police officer, it is recommended that a police officer at the end of his training takes an oath before the school and training center exit ceremony in front of the competent courts.

The official release of the 52nd promotion of police non-commissioned officers is scheduled to take place on Friday July 21, 2023 at the ENP.
