Pô, The Lions Club Ouaga Phénix 50 District 403 A3, an associative movement organized on Saturday October 14, 2023, in the commune of Tiébélé, province of Nahouri, a series of charitable activities. These activities are part of a reforestation that he organizes each year, in their grove located in the village of Lô-longo, in order to give smiles to the students.

The Ouaga Phénix 50 District 403 A3 Lions Club once again sacrificed itself to tradition this year by traveling to the town of Tiébélé, the city of a thousand hills to carry out charitable activities.

Indeed, for more than ten years, Georges Tiana Batina, son of the commune of Tiébélé and his partners have made the locality a land of hospitality as part of their annual activities.

The first act of this outing in the town was the vision screening of more than a hundred people, students and a donation of around fifty corrective lenses, for the benefit of the students screened.

While one team continued to offer this opportunity, a second headed to the village of Lo-longo, located about ten kilometers west of Tiébélé center where there was a large mobilization of the population.

The team was welcomed to the rhythm of local music. She visited the grove set up around ten years ago. Each year, in this grove, hundreds of plants, especially fruit trees, are planted.

For the occasion, the village chief of Lô-longo received the delegation from Lions Club Ouaga Phénix 50 District 403 with great joy. According to him, this friendship goes back a very long time and is only growing.

“I am the chief of Lô-longo. It was I who gave them the land for the grove. And I can tell you that this grove benefits the people. Every year, the school supplies that they give to the students are a great relief to the parents. All I can say is to pray for them and that peace returns to Faso,” he said.

The director of the Lo-longo public primary school, Dieudonné Tagnabou expressed his gratitude to the members of the Lions Club.

“I have been principal at this school for three years. But before I came here, they were already intervening there. The school supplies they have just donated help the children a lot,” he said.

And continue that there are parents who cannot give the children notebooks in time for them to start lessons. I ask the students to make good use of it.”

For the president of the 2023-2024 year of Lions Club Ouagadougou Phénix 50, Izouma Sidibé, the day was a total satisfaction due to the fact that all the planned activities were carried out.

“We can only be satisfied. Every year we come here and we are always well received by the people, especially the chef. We are very happy to be here in Tiébélé, because we feel at home,” rejoiced Mr. Sidibé.

The charity day ended with a community meal from Lions Club Ouaga Phénix 50 District 403 A3, offered to the students and the population of Lo-longo.
