Orodara, The Caisse populaire de Orodara delivered school kits on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 to internally displaced students (EDI) from four basic education districts (CEB) in the province of Kénédougou, in the region of the Hauts-Bassins . The ceremony took place in the presence of the first provincial officials in charge of primary education.
Worth more than one million CFA francs, this donation is essentially made up of school kits which are school bags, slates, notebooks and pens.
The initiative is from the Caisse populaire de Orodara for the benefit of internally displaced students (EDI) from the CEBs of Banzon, Koloko, Orodara and Samorogouan, in the Hauts-Bassins region.
According to the first managers of the Caisse populaire de Orodara, notably the president of the Board of Directors, Oumar Traoré, the security crisis has led to the migration of numerous populations, within the country with difficulties of all kinds.
“This is why the Caisse populaire, through its social component, wants to provide support to internally displaced students to support their parents a little,” indicated Oumar Traoré.
The representative of the beneficiaries Doubakô Bahan, director of the school of sector no. 4 of Orodara, thanked the donors for their invaluable gesture which comes at the right time during this 2023-2024 school year period.
The provincial director in charge of primary education in Kénédougou, Pié Coulibaly, hoped that this partnership would be further strengthened.
M Coulibaly also reassured the Caisse populaire that the donation will reach the beneficiaries.
