Preschool and primary education stakeholders in the province of Gourma saw their efforts recognized in Fada N'Gourma on Friday, October 27, 2023.
Special prizes and ordinary prizes were awarded to the winners during this day.
With 139 students, the certified school teacher, Mrs. Aissatou Koadima from the primary school of sector 1 A of Fada N'Gourma had obtained 131 admitted to the Certificate of Primary Studies (CEP) and 120 admitted to the entrance exam in 6th grade of the 2023 session. With these results, she was crowned best teacher in the province in this edition of excellence. She obtained a certificate of merit plus a motorcycle.
Ms. Koadima said she owes this recognition to her rigor and diligence in her work. “I dedicate this recognition to my valiant students and my supervisors,” she suggested.
Student Benjamin Lankoandé from the private primary school builders of Peace became the best student of the past school year for having obtained an average of 9.21/10 in the last session of the CEP. As rewards, he gets a bike and a school kit.
The internally displaced student, Alima Barry received a bicycle plus a school kit for having obtained 8.00/10 in the CEP 2023. “I am happy to have obtained these rewards. I plan to continue my studies,” she said.
The sponsor of this edition, Mathieu Lompo, also director general of the Burkina Infrastructure Works Agency (AGETIB), praised the efforts of these valiant fighters against ignorance. In this regard, he indicated that it is thanks to the tireless work of teachers that they have become who they are. Before finishing, he hoped that the young winners would be followed by the daughters and sons of the region because according to him, they can fall into mediocrity due to lack of support.
