More than 600 students raised awareness on the prevention and repression of corruption

Ouagadougou: More than 600 students from Boucle du Mouhoun were made aware of the fight against corruption and in particular on the content of the law relating to the prevention and repression of corruption in Burkina Faso, we learned. AIB this Wednesday with the organizers of the awareness campaign.Students from public high schools in Tcheriba, Safané, Ouri and the private school Notre Dame de la Consolation, in the Boucle du Mouhoun region, took part in educational conferences initiated by the Higher Authority for Control of State and Fight against Corruption (ASCE-LC ) and supported by the Burkinabè Network of Young Leaders for Integrity (RBJLI).The corruption prevention system, the structures responsible for combating the scourge, the essential values and standards of conduct in public services were presented to the students.Ollo Ko Da, specialist in governance and management of organizations and project manager at the RBJLI network, encouraged the young participants to get actively involved in the fight against corruption by refusing to be an actor in this bad practice, but above all by denouncing everything act of corruption that they witness. They also invited them to cultivate the values of integrity.'In the future, we would like to set up units in these various establishments to report cases of fraud and corruption,' revealed Mr. Da. For him, by instilling values of probity in students, we prepare future executives for virtuous governance.The President of Faso, Ibrahim Traoré considers that corruption is nothing other than 'theft', 'cheating' to be fought rigorously.
