Ouagadougou: The Archbishop of Ouagadougou, Monsignor Prosper Kontièbo, carried out on Sunday the consecration of the Saint Jean de Bendogo chapel in the Saint Charles Lwanga parish of Wayalghin. He took the opportunity to thank the local Muslim community who contributed to the construction of the holy site.'We blessed the water, opened the doors of the chapel, proceeded to the naming of the church, and anointed the altar, the walls and the columns of the church,' declared the Archbishop of Ouagadougou on Sunday in the outcome of the blessing of the Saint Jean de Bendogo chapel.'These rites are not just for the beauty of the eyes because the Holy Church offers this ritual of consecration so that we know that God has now officially taken possession of this house,' explained Monsignor Kontièbo.For the priest of the Saint Charles Lwanga parish of Wayalghin, Sylvère Pengdwendé Yaméogo, with this blessing, the chapel has become a church, that is to say it has all the characteristics and it is now possible to visit it. all celebrate the sacraments because the presence of God is now real there through the tabernacle.'In this house of God many will receive baptism, the body of Christ. Here will be celebrated weddings, the end of earthly life and the entry into eternal life. Here, you will receive forgiveness for your sins,' said the Archbishop of Ouagadougou, Prosper Kontièbo.He also congratulated all those who pooled their actions for the construction of this church, from the acquisition of land to its construction.According to Prosper Kontièbo, we can count among these people Ladji Tasséré Ouédraogo who contributed to the acquisition of the land.He also congratulated the Muslim community which joined forces with the Christian community for the construction of this church.For his part, Ladji Tasséré Ouédraogo recalled that God created all men the same.'We have the same origins from Noah through Ishmael and Isaac to the prophets Issa and Mohamed (Pbuh upon them).
