Ioba: The SG invites populations to destroy larval breeding sites

Ouagadougou: The Secretary General (SG) of the Ioba province, André Lankoandé, urged the populations to destroy breeding sites during the ceremony of the raising of the national colors, Monday July 1, 2024 in Dano.The Dano High Commission served as a setting for the raising of the colors this month of July 2024. The established bodies and the defense and security forces (FDS) were once again mobilized to take part in the traditional raising of the flag.The secretary general of the province, André Lankoandé, chaired the ceremony. Addressing the participants at the end of the military ceremony, Mr. Lankoandé praised the constant mobilization of the established bodies and the FDS.He informed the public of the progress of the chemo prevention campaign for seasonal malaria for the year 2024. 'In order to strengthen the fight against this disease, it is advisable to avoid the proliferation of mosquitoes,' he indicated. .This is why, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, he urged populatio ns 'to destroy all larval breeding sites in our living environment'. He congratulated education stakeholders for the results obtained this year in the BEPC (44.27%) and the CEP (80.16%).He thanked the FDS and health workers for their remarkable participation in the organization of school exams throughout the provincial territory.
