Tuy: Minister Baro calls on FDS and VDP to unite and cohesively fight against the enemy

The Minister of Environment, Water and Sanitation, Roger Baro, at the head of a government delegation visiting Houndé, called on the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the province of Tuy to unite and cohesion in the fight against terrorism."On the battlefield, the fight is common but the positions are different. And when there are difficulties we form a coalition to oust the enemy..." declared Roger Baro.The Minister of the Environment, Water and Sanitation, leading a government delegation composed of the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, responsible for the budget, Fatoumata Bako and the Secretary General of the Government and the Council of Ministers, Mathias Traoré, addressed the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the province of Tuy during a meeting on Thursday, August 29, 2024 in Houndé.Roger Baro conveyed to the fighting forces of Tuy the congratulations a nd encouragement of the President of Faso and the Prime Minister for their commitment and determination in the war against terrorism."We invite you to stay the course and remain very vigilant. We must remain very alert and united," he advised.Furthermore, Mr. Baro urged the fighting forces to avoid isolated actions and to follow the instructions given by the command."Coordination and implementation of command instructions are the keys to the success of the mission," he said.The head of the government delegation also invited the FDS and VDP of Tuy engaged in the fight against terrorism to establish cordial relations with the populations.For his part, the Secretary General of the Government and the Council of Ministers, Mathias Traoré expressed his pride in the fighting forces."Today, we are sensitive to the work that you have already accomplished. (...). Despite the difficulties, you have achieved results that allow us to be proud of you today," he said.The FDS and VDP of the province, through th eir spokesperson, the Provincial Director in charge of the environment of Tuy, Paulin Bationo, reaffirmed their commitment to the fight for the security of the province and expressed their concerns to the delegation sent by the highest authorities of the country.Source: Burkina Information Agency
