Ouagadougou: On August 27, Arsène Armand Hien donated 25 mattresses, worth approximately 1,060,000 CFA francs, which made it possible to replace all the used mattresses in the maternity ward of the Urban Medical Center (CMU).The Director General of the African Regional Center for Labor Administration (CRADAT), Arsène Armand Hien, handed over 25 mattresses to the maternity ward of the CMU in Dano, worth approximately 1,060,000 CFA francs.The award ceremony was chaired by the secretary general of the Dano town hall, Elisée Bambara, in the presence of the chief medical officer of the health district (MCD), Salam Mandé.Based in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Arsène Armand Hien was asked by the president of the management committee (COGES) of the CMU of Dano, Joël Dabiré, to help with the maternity ward.In fact, newborns and their mothers were received on dilapidated mattresses. This donation made it possible to replace all the mattresses in this maternity ward.The donor, the son of a health worker, said he was conc erned about the difficulties faced by health service personnel."I am from the province of Ioba and I know that there are enormous difficulties. We are trying to provide solutions as much as we can. I am, through this gesture, supporting the entire administration, the health services and the women who come to give life," noted Arsène Armand Hien.According to him, all the agents of the different services deserve a lot of encouragement and support. "That is why, each time I am questioned, I intervene to the extent of my possibilities," he added.The president of the COGES of the CMU of Dano, Joël Dabiré, welcomed the resolution of a priority problem for this health facility."I have no words to thank Mr. Hien. I pray to the spirits of the ancestors to bless him for what he has done," he said.Other important needs, such as the CMU fence, solar lighting and an autonomous water station, remain to be achieved for the proper functioning of the services, continued Joël Dabiré. He invited all the goodwill of th e commune of Dano to make their contribution for the rehabilitation of the CMU.The MCD of Dano, Dr. Salam Mandé, affirmed that Mr. Hien is not at his first support to the health sector. He reiterated his gratitude to the general director of CRADAT for this donation of mattresses.He welcomed the steps taken by the COGES president to resolve the CMU's difficulties.Salam Mandé urged the maternity staff to use and maintain these mattresses properly for the benefit of women and their babies.The secretary general of the Dano town hall, Elisée Bambara, congratulated the president of COGES for his actions undertaken for the benefit of the CMU.He thanked Arsène Armand Hien for his generosity and his constant support for improving the health of the population.According to him, this donation is a patriotic act and is part of the development policy of local authorities.Mr. Bambara asked all the sons and daughters of Dano to contribute to the endogenous development of the commune.Source: Burkina Informati on Agency
