The regional management of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) of Boucle du Mouhoun, offered, on Friday, September 13, 2024 in Dédougou, food to 80 widows of social security beneficiaries and 70 scholarships and school kits to orphans and vulnerable children worth more than 11,150,000 CFA francs.For the third consecutive time, the regional management of the National Social Security Fund of Dédougou has shown its solidarity with the vulnerable sectors of society by renewing or granting new scholarships and school kits consisting of school bags, notebooks and school materials worth 25,000 CFA francs and a scholarship of 100,000 CFA francs to each of the 70 orphans and vulnerable children and the delivery of a 50 kg bag of rice to each of the 80 widows of social security beneficiaries.The total amount of school kits and scholarships is 8,750,000 CFA francs and food is 2,400,000 CFA francs, making a total of 11,150,000 CFA francs.The activity, which took place simultaneously in the other regional dire ctorates of the CNSS, is in its 8th edition and will allow 600 widows and widowers and 600 orphaned children, students, to benefit from aid estimated at more than 100 million CFA francs throughout the country.Indeed, it is within the framework of its health and social action program that the CNSS has organized each year for more than a decade the operation of granting scholarships and school kits to orphans and vulnerable children of its insured persons as well as the donation of food to widows and widowers with a low amount of social benefits.The activity complements traditional social security benefits and is a visible and tangible manifestation of the CNSS's solidarity with those most in need in the social security community.For the regional director of the CNSS of Boucle du Mouhoun, Seydou Koné, after the 2023 operation, the operation of awarding scholarships and school kits and food donations still keeps its promises at the start of the 2024-2025 school year."This ceremony reflects the renewed co mmitment of the CNSS to always support the most deprived insured persons and their family members by granting scholarships and school kits, donating food to the widows of insured persons and thus contributing to their development," he said.According to him, the surge of solidarity is also in line with the paths taken by the Transitional government, which called for more mutual aid, solidarity and generosity among Burkinabe people so that together we can meet the many challenges facing our country.Similarly, Mr. Koné, stressed that the slogan of the CNSS which is "the virtues of solidarity" is manifested towards our compatriots who are in need and this, since 1978, through various forms of individual and collective assistance within the framework of the implementation of the health and social action program of the CNSS.To the beneficiary students, the regional director invited them to give the best of themselves at school to honor their parents and also to give reasons to the CNSS and its partners to con tinue to support them in their studies.Upon receiving the donation of food, the representative of the widows, Mrs. Dramé Mama Koumandi, expressed her gratitude to the senior officials of the CNSS for this gesture which is a great relief for each of the beneficiaries."We thank the CNSS and its partners who help us through the precious donation of food for widows, scholarships and school kits for our children," she said.Similarly, the representative of orphans and vulnerable children, while thanking the top officials of the CNSS for the gesture, hoped that such actions could continue and even improve given the relief that it brings them.On behalf of the other beneficiaries, he pledged to make their school year a success so as not to disappoint the donors.According to the President of the special delegation of the commune of Dédougou, Dieudonné Tougfo, the initiative of the CNSS is very commendable in the sense that it brings relief to families who are faced with difficulties of all kinds."We are req uesting and still expecting support from the CNSS in the social domain for the well-being of the populations," said the PDS of Dédougou.He nevertheless expressed his gratitude to the CNSS and its partners for this gesture which comes as a relief to families.Addressing the beneficiary students, he urged them to improve their academic results so that the CNSS can continue to help other children succeed.At the end of the ceremony, each of the beneficiaries left with their donation while wishing for the continuation of the activity to the happiness of all.Source: Burkina Information Agency
