Nahouri: “We are placing this return to school under the sign of discipline and work”, headmaster

The principal of the provincial high school of Pô, Roméo Ouédraogo, declared this Tuesday, October 1 , 2024, on the occasion of the start of the 2024-2025 school year, to place the start of the school year under the sign of discipline and work. Most of the primary and secondary schools in the province have also opened their doors.Preschool, primary and secondary school students in the province of Nahouri returned to school this Tuesday, October 1, 2024 , for the 2024-2025 school year, as everywhere else in the country.According to the observation made in some public and private establishments, the time has come to welcome and settle in new students.At the provincial high school of Pô, one of the largest high schools in the province with around 1,800 students, the headmaster, Roméo Ouédraogo, made the final adjustments."We have 29 classrooms for this 2024-2025 school year and we are placing the start of the school year under the sign of discipline and work. We have opened a second C class, a first in the province," declared Mr. Ouédraogo.At the Catholic primary school in Pô, we found motivated children accompanied by their parents.The director, Victorine Pouya/Kabré, and her colleagues are working on the adjustments before the actual start of classes."This day is dedicated to raising the flag, reminding people of the school's internal regulations and settling in the CP1 class," said Ms. Pouya.On the side of the two provincial directorates, the major difficulty is the lack of personnel."95 primary school teachers have been transferred and I am receiving 25, how do I fill the void?" suggested the provincial director in charge of primary education, Noaga Damiba.Despite these difficulties, the two officials in charge of primary education in Nahouri, Noaga Damiba, and secondary education, Noélie Yonli/Tasopba, are counting on the personal and collective commitment of all education stakeholders to meet the challenges.Source: Burkina Information Agency
