Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakhit, OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Social and Cultural Affairs, held a meeting with H.E. Mrs Nandy SOME/Diallo, Minister of Humanitarian Action and National Solidary of Burkina Faso, and Mrs KABRE/KABORE BEBEGNASGNAN Stella Eldine, Minister Delegate for Regional Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso, on Saturday, 26 October 2024, on the sidelines of the OIC Donors’ Conference to support Displaced Persons and Refugees in the Sahel and Lake Chad region held at the OIC General Secretariat’s Headquarters.

The two sides reviewed the efforts made by Burkina Faso in the field of humanitarian work and discussed ways to enhance the support of the OIC and its relevant institutions to the Sahel countries in this field, especially supporting the displaced and refugees.
