Gnagna: Inspectors of primary education and non-formal education, Hamadou Bourgou and Andr© Lankoand©, were installed respectively in their new functions as heads of the basic education district of Liptougou and Coalla, on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the provincial directorate of preschool, primary and non-formal education of Gnagna, in Bogand©.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Inspectors Hamadou Bourgou and Andr© Lankoand© officially took office as heads of the basic education districts of Liptougou and Coalla on Monday, January 13, 2025. They were installed by the prefect, president of the special delegation of the commune of Liptougou, Sory Traor©.
The ceremony marked a significant moment for the communities of Liptougou and Coalla, especially after challenging years that saw numerous school closures, including in these very districts. The installation of the new education heads is seen as a beacon of hope for the children, teachers, and local communities.
During the event, the provincial director of education, Sylvain Thiombiano, handed over mission letters to both Hamadou Bourgou and Andr© Lankoand©, as per current regulations. This was a formal acknowledgment of their responsibilities in revitalizing the educational landscape in their respective districts.
Bourgou and Lankoand© have expressed their commitment to resuming educational activities, which are currently relocated to Manni for Coalla's district and to Bogand© for Liptougou's district. Their focus will be on reinstating a stable educational environment for students and educators alike.
Prefect Sory Traor© emphasized the importance of collaboration among education stakeholders, parents, and partners to rejuvenate the education system. He highlighted the need to tackle existing challenges to ensure that children in the affected localities can access quality education.
