Ouagadougou: Yalso Edition has made a significant contribution to preschool education in Burkina Faso by donating a large batch of educational materials to the country's preschool education and training centers. The handover ceremony took place at the Ministry of Basic Education, Literacy, and the Promotion of National Languages (MEBAPLN), with numerous stakeholders from the education sector in attendance.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation aligns with a presidential initiative aimed at increasing preschool enrollment rates. It includes 1,000 activity books tailored for the three preschool sections, focusing on written and oral expression, mathematics, and science. These educational resources have been validated by the ministry and are considered crucial for both teachers and young learners.
Sanou Bernadette DAO, representing Yalso Edition, highlighted the critical role of preschool education in cognitive development and skill acquisition. She noted that the donation is part of Yalso's commitment to supporting the Department of Basic Education's efforts to enhance preschool education and facilitate access to the formal education system.
DAO also conveyed her pride and that of her colleagues in aiding MEBAPLN's endeavors. She announced Yalso's intention to continue collaborating with the ministry in producing educational materials for preschool and primary education.
Wendpanga Michel Addoul Kader KONDOMBO, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport (MEBAPLN), expressed the ministry's gratitude towards Yalso Edition. He reaffirmed that preschool education is a national priority and emphasized that the donation will help address the increasing demand for educational resources in new early learning centers across the country.
