Ouagadougou: The Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Gilbert Ou©draogo, engaged in discussions on the enhancement of cooperation in culture and communication sectors with his Togolese counterpart on Monday.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Ou©draogo emphasized the strong cooperative ties between Burkina Faso and Togo, stating that it is essential to work at the sectoral level to reinforce this synergy. The discussions took place following an audience with the Togolese Minister of Communication, Media and Culture, Yawa Ahofa Kouigan.
The meeting provided a platform to discuss issues of mutual interest, particularly focusing on the revitalization of the Regional Center for Performing Arts in Africa (CERAV Afrique), which is located in Burkina Faso's economic capital. Minister Ou©draogo highlighted the importance of updating membership documents to ensure Togo's active participation in CERAV Afrique.
Further, Minister Ou©draogo expressed gratitude on behalf of Burkina Faso's authorities to Togo for selecting Burkina Faso as the guest of honor at the 4th edition of the Togo International Crafts Market and for its participation in the recent Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), held from February 22 to March 1, 2025.
