Founzan Community Rallies in Support of President Ibrahim Traor©

Ouagadougou: The people of Founzan express their support for President Ibrahim Traor©. The National Coalition for Citizen Watch (CNAVC) of Founzan, in collaboration with the community's vital forces, organized a march-meeting on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in support and recognition of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©. On this occasion, the people of the commune donated 1,620,000 FCFA as well as food for the peace effort.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the march brought together men and women of all ages, carrying flags and placards bearing messages of solidarity and support for the head of state, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, and his entire team. Starting from the Citizens' Vigil roundabout, the demonstrators marched through several of the town's main streets before gathering in the public square to hold a rally.

Community leaders, youth and women's leaders, and local authorities took the floor to commend the President of Faso for his efforts to restore security and national hope. The president of the CNAVC-Founzan stated that the accession of Captain Ibrahim Traor© has enabled the liberation of all the towns in the commune, which were previously under terrorist control.

"The CNAVC-Founzan, in collaboration with the community's key players, felt it was noble to prove that we were satisfied with the work carried out in our community," he said.

The ceremony included a fundraising event, with the presentation of 1,610,000 CFA francs to contribute to the peace effort in the 15 villages of the commune. This sum was allocated between the Patriotic Support Fund (827,250 CFA francs), support for the families of fallen VDPs (260,750 CFA francs), and support for the functioning of the fighting forces (VDP and FDS) of the commune.

Food consisting of 8 bags of corn and 5 bags of rice weighing 25 kilos were also offered to support the VDPs and bereaved families.

Omar Traor©, the representative for the Hauts-Bassins region, expressed his satisfaction with his participation in this march-meeting. He thanked the people of Founzan for this show of solidarity with the highest authorities.

"It is in this dynamic that we will be able to truly support this progressive and popular revolution initiated by Captain Ibrahim Traor© for the freedom, dignity and sovereignty of our dear nation," he assured.

The event was attended by the High Commissioner of Tuy Province, Issiaka Segda, as well as several local authorities.
