African School Championship: Burkina Faso to Face Morocco in Semi-Finals

Harare: The Burkina Faso U15 girls' Stallions are set to compete against the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in the semi-finals of the Zimbabwe 2026 African School Championship this Thursday at 8 a.m. GMT.

According to Burkina Information Agency, after securing their spot in the semi-finals as leaders of Group B, the Stallions U15 girls are gearing up for a challenging encounter against Morocco's U15 team. In Group A, Zambia emerged as the top team, with Morocco taking the second spot. Consequently, Zambia will face Ghana, the runner-up of Group B, while Burkina Faso will clash with Morocco.

The semi-final matches will take place at Gateway High School. Wednesday has been designated as a rest day for the semi-finalists. Meanwhile, teams that finished at the bottom of their groups-Tanzania, Guinea, Zimbabwe, and the Democratic Republic of Congo-will compete to secure one of the last four places in the overall standings.

The Burkina Faso team plans to utilize the rest day to recover and prepare for their upcoming match against Morocco.
