Agricultural Kits Distributed to Returning Internally Displaced Persons in Morolaba


K©n©dougou: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Morolaba, Germain Mien, proceeded this Friday to hand over agricultural kits to the benefit of internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have returned to the commune, as part of the actions to recover and strengthen the resilience of vulnerable populations.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation consists of NPK fertilizer, urea, and three power tillers. It was provided by the Ministry of Family and National Solidarity and the Ministry of Agriculture to support the beneficiaries in resuming their agricultural activities.



The municipal authorities stated that this initiative aims to promote the return to normal life for displaced persons who have returned, to strengthen their resilience, and to contribute to the improvement of their food security and living conditions.



On this occasion, the President of the special delegation, Germain Mien, invited the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the inputs and equipment received in order to optimize the yields of the current agricultural campaign.



Germain Mien also praised the support of the relevant ministerial departments and the commitment of all stakeholders who contributed to the success of this operation. He reaffirmed the municipality’s willingness to support any initiative aimed at improving the living conditions of the population.
