Ouagadougou:Boulgou/Zabr Alain Boubi Bassono, the president of the special delegation of the municipality of Zabr, was honored for his exemplary governance in the 'Good Governance' category at the 6th edition of the Cities Trophies. The event took place on October 16, 2026, at the Pacific Hotel in Ouagadougou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was organized by the newspaper Le Courrier du Maire, in collaboration with OSD Communication, to acknowledge the achievements of special delegation heads in various fields over the year.

Zabr's recognition was attributed to significant initiatives in local governance, such as the reform of impound lots, which increased municipal revenue, and the completion of a town hall annex building to enhance municipal employees' working conditions. Notably, Zabr was the only municipality in the Nakamb region to receive an award at this edition.

Alain Boubi Bassono expressed gratitude for the collective effort that led to this recognition, thanking the special delegation members, municipal and departmental technical services, and the people of Zabr for their support. He dedicated the award to all those contributing to the municipality's development and encouraged them to continue their efforts to sustain and further their achievements for the community.
