Andem Public Primary School Faces Infrastructure Challenges: Boureima Sawadogo Visits Zitenga

Zitenga: The Head of Mission of the Presidency of Faso for the Oubri region, Boureima Sawadogo, recently visited the public primary school of Andem in the rural commune of Zitenga, Bassitenga province. This visit aimed to directly observe the working conditions of teachers and to support their mission of educating children.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the school, after 33 years of operation, continues to face a shortage of infrastructure, having only three classrooms. The teaching staff has also raised concerns about the insufficient teaching materials. Despite these difficulties, the Project Manager commended the motivated and committed team working to overcome these educational challenges.

Boureima Sawadogo attentively listened to the grievances expressed by the school and promised to relay them to the relevant authorities. The school's headmistress, Ms. Sinanbou Tissa, expressed her gratitude for the visit, highlighting that teachers were forced to use desks and benches as makeshift desks due to a lack of suitable furniture.

The Project Manager also urged local residents to contribute to the construction of the remaining three classrooms to improve the learning conditions for students.
