Two Senior Officers in Gourma Don New Epaulettes

Gourma: Two senior officers wear their new epaulettes. Appointed to higher ranks effective January 1, 2026, the Commander of the 6th Gendarmerie Legion, Lieutenant-Colonel Kiswendsida Wilfried Taoko, promoted to the rank of Colonel, and the Commander of the 6th Military Region, Battalion Commander, Arms Commander of the Fada N'Gourma garrison, Boubacar Dadijan, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, officially donned their new epaulettes this Friday, January 16, 2026, in Fada N'Gourma.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the epaulette presentation ceremony was presided over by the Governor of the Goulmou region, Ram Joseph Kafando, who performed the symbolic act marking the official start of these promotions within the military hierarchy.

The two promoted senior officers expressed their gratitude to their superiors and to the highest authorities of the country for their renewed confidence. They also reaffirmed their commitment to serving the Nation with loyalty, discipline, and a strong sense of duty.

These promotions, effective January 1, 2026, recognize the dedication, professionalism, and achievements of the two officers in carrying out their missions in service of the defense and security of Burkina Faso.
