Ioba: Zondoma/Bassi Commune: At least 92 women were trained in soap and kokodonda making during a practical training session organized by the citizen watch group of the village of Pella. This initiative was in accordance with the guidelines of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP).
According to Burkina Information Agency, Amad© Ou©draogo, the representative of the citizen watch of Pella, highlighted that the training aligns with the RPP's vision to convert skills into entrepreneurial opportunities for the women in the village. The training is seen as a step towards economic empowerment and skill development for the participants.
Ouindwaogo Koalga, the municipal coordinator for citizen oversight, stated that the activity aims to enhance the living conditions of households. The training is expected to provide the women with the ability to produce goods that can be used domestically and potentially sold for income generation.
Abibata Sankara, a representative of the women who participated in the training, expressed optimism about the impact of the skills they acquired. She noted that producing soap and kokodonda loincloths locally could significantly change their daily lives by reducing expenses and creating potential income streams.
