Ouagadougou: The President of Burkina Faso, His Excellency Captain Ibrahim Traore, met with a delegation from the Court of Auditors this Monday morning. The delegation, led by Mr. Latin Poda, the First President of the Court of Auditors, presented the institution's 2024 Annual Public Report to the Head of State.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the 2024 Annual Public Report outlines the activities carried out by the Court of Auditors during the year. The Report identifies instances of mismanagement from a jurisdictional perspective, detailing irregularities in the management of public finances. Mr. Poda highlighted that the Report provides insights into the structures involved, the types of mismanagement observed, and the categories of officials deemed responsible for these offenses.
Furthermore, the Report examines the operations of the State, local authorities, state companies, and social security bodies. Mr. Poda explained that the review encompassed both jurisdictional and non-jurisdictional aspects of these entities.
Mr. Latin Poda stated that President Ibrahim Traore commended the Court of Auditors for its efforts and urged the institution to ensure rigorous follow-up on the implementation of its recommendations.
