Bahrain Participates in APA Committee Meeting in Tajikistan

Dushanbe:The Kingdom of Bahrain's Parliamentary Division delegation is attending the meeting of the Standing Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan, from September 24 to 27.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation is led by MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, representing Bahrain in its capacity as the APA president. The delegation also includes Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul, a member of the Shura Council, and MP Bader Saleh Al Tamimi.

The meeting agenda involves adopting the agenda, electing the committee's bureau, reviewing the APA Secretary General's report, and engaging in a general debate on draft resolutions under consideration.

Bahrain, as the current APA president, is committed to enhancing parliamentary cooperation throughout Asia, focusing on increasing coordination and sharing expertise among member parliaments. These efforts aim to foster dialogue and understanding between Asian cultures and peoples, supporting sustainable development, peace, and stability.

The Assembly continues to focus on strengthening parliamentary cooperation and discussing social and cultural issues of common interest. It also emphasizes the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in addressing challenges and promoting cooperation and integration among Asian nations.
