Balé: A popular cross to promote peace and social cohesion

Boromo, Administrative authorities and workers from the different socio-professional sectors of the province participated in the periodic popular cross of the provincial direction of sports and leisure of the province of Balé, on Saturday October 14 in Boromo .

The quarterly popular cross for peace and social cohesion brought together administrative authorities and local populations for the third time of the year in the streets of the city of Boromo on Saturday October 14.

Leaving the provincial stadium at 6:22 a.m., the marathon runners completed a closed circuit of more than 3 km through the city's main arteries. This morning of sports time for all took into account the different components of the peloton. Thus, the pace of the race was also made up of steps to allow the less enduring participants to breathe throughout the course.

After the cross country the participants had an aerobics session to further relax. The different stages of the activity were supervised by agents from the provincial sports directorate, the aerobics club and the national police.

The high commissioner of the province, Ibrahim Boly, welcomed the mobilization and periodic holding of the activity.

According to him, this popular cross country allows the bodies to rub shoulders but above all to give time to practice sport to the numerous agents of the public and private administration.

The idea is also to make sport a factor in promoting peace and cohesion between the different services and local populations to live it together, added the first official of the province.

Since the beginning of the year, popular cross country has become one of the important activities in the program of the Balé provincial sports and leisure directorate.

According to its director, Nourdine Kambou, the initiative comes from the high commissioner of the province. His presence at each outing testifies to the importance he attaches to the activity. He has arranged to meet the participants next December for the last lacrosse of the year.
