Bantia Triumphs in OSCLEP Sports and Cultural Event


Liptougou: The Liptougou Basic Education District (CEB) concluded its OSCLEP sports and cultural activities on Saturday evening in an atmosphere marked by social cohesion and community spirit. Held under the theme “Cohesion, Fraternity and Peace through Culture and Sport,” this edition brought together administrative, traditional, and educational authorities, as well as large numbers of local residents who came to watch the various competitions.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was held under the patronage of the Prefect, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Liptougou, Sory Aboubacar Traore. It was attended by several dignitaries, including His Majesty Yempaabou, Chief of the Bogande canton. In his address, the Head of the Liptougou Basic Education Center (CEB), Kiri Lankoande, emphasized the importance of sport and culture in education and in promoting peace and fraternity in schools.



The president of the organizing committee, Seydou Nasre, and the ceremony’s sponsor, Mapandi Sogli, commended the involvement of the partners and called for increased mobilization around educational issues. Representing the PDS, the first vice-president of the special delegation, Moussa Sogli, congratulated the education officials for the successful organization of the event and reaffirmed the local authorities’ commitment to supporting initiatives for education and youth development.



The highlight of the evening was the football final between Bantia and Gabondi, which ended in a 2-0 victory for Bantia. In addition to football, several sporting and cultural disciplines, including handball, ballet, recitals, lip-syncing, sprints, and jumping, enlivened this edition. The top participants received awards during the ceremony.
