Banwa: The new Provincial Director of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism (DPCCAT) of Banwa, Babou Eug¨ne Ido, pledged Friday in Solenzo, during the handover ceremony, to make the province an artistic and cultural destination. The new DPCCAT of Banwa was installed on Friday, May 23, 2025, by the Secretary General of the province, Abdoul Kader Kongzabr©, in the presence of other provincial directors and heads of services.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Babou Eug¨ne Ido reassured everyone of his availability and commitment to continuing the actions of his predecessor, Kouintani Sanou. He emphasized the significance of tourism for the local economy, stating, "Tourism is a key sector for the local economy, and we will work to highlight the natural, historical, and cultural assets of the Banwa."
In his address, Ido outlined his plans to strengthen partnerships with private actors and different communities to develop tourism, with the aim of promoting the province's cultural and tourism potential. The Secretary General of Banwa Province expressed his congratulations to the new DPCCAT and offered advice to ensure the success of his mission.
