Nandiala/football: The 5th edition of the 'Bao Yiir Bogo Nr' cup was launched on Saturday, August 15, 2026, on the Nandiala field in the presence of a crowd in its favor, AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative was launched in 2022 by two young people from the commune, Bernard Zongo and Noraogo Kabor. It is a competition that aims to bring together all the sons and daughters of the Nandiala commune in order to stimulate genuine endogenous development.

The Chair of the Special Delegation, Aminata Diallo, congratulated the organizers for their vision and resilience. She encouraged all sons and daughters to support this competition, which galvanizes young people every year.

The representative of the sponsors of this edition, Wilfred Yogo, an economic operator, said he was honored and promised to stand alongside the organizers for the success of this competition.

Bernard Zongo, one of the organizers of the competition, thanked all those who contribute each year to make it possible. He said he was counting on the support of the entire community for the success and continued success of the competition.

The opening match between Goursi and Baoghin ended in a narrow victory for Goursi by a score of one goal to zero.

The conclusion of this competition is scheduled for November 28, 2026 for the eleven teams involved.
