B©gu©do High School Launches Reforestation Initiative for New School Year

B©gu©do:The departmental high school in B©gu©do marked the start of the 2026-2027 school year by launching a reforestation initiative to promote ecology and civic engagement. On Thursday, the school organized a tree-planting event within its grounds.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative involved students, teachers, and administrative staff who participated in planting around ten trees. These trees were donated by the Association of Young People in Solidarity for Development (AJSD) of B©gu©do.

School principal Roger Wangrawa emphasized that the first day was intended to be more than just resuming classes. He encouraged the teaching staff to utilize this opportunity as an educational tool, highlighting the importance of integrating environmental protection into the curriculum.

Souhaybou D©n©, representing the AJSD, explained the significance of their contribution. He noted that the association aimed to enhance the students' living environment and provide a legacy for future generations by creating shaded, cooler playgrounds.
