A group of young people organized a resilience concert dedicated to peace and social cohesion on the evening of Saturday April 6, 2024 in Bogandé, capital of the province of Gnagna, in the eastern region. The sum of 300,000 francs is the proceeds of this concert given to local authorities for the benefit of internally displaced people from Bogandé.Previously, they had handed over a ton of rice for the benefit of widows and distributed soap to newborns in the maternity ward of the Bogandé Medical Center with Surgical Antenna. These young people want to provide, in their own way, their support for the search for peace and harmonious living together within communities.Indeed, in addition to the charitable gestures made, they organized a so-called resilience concert in order to pass messages of peace and invite populations to social cohesion, on Saturday April 6, 2024 in Bogandé.'The objective for us is to give a smile to populations who lack a framework to cheer up in view of the context,' declared the l eader of the group, Elissé Lankoandé.Beyond artistic performances, we intend to convince them of the need to cultivate certain social values such as love of neighbor, fraternity and solidarity, a guarantee of peace, he added. The sponsor of the activities, Mathieu Dabongou, congratulated the promoters for their 'noble' initiative. He also thanked them for the choice made on his modest person. He further invited the daughters and sons of Gnagna to love each other and cultivate peace around them. Each artist carried a key message of peace.Artists like the great storyteller and humorist Beri Dambina from the commune of Coalla, theater actors Gnagna Comédie, MTL Burkina and Bombass have all pleaded in favor of understanding between the daughters and sons of Gnagna, mutual understanding, solidarity, tolerance and living together. The first vice-president of the special communal delegation of Bogandé, Bikienga Alice/Lankoandé, who received the donation, welcomed the initiative which, according to her, made it possible to boost the morale of the populations in distress but also to support the IDPs .She thanked the promoters and all the artists who added their voice to this activity in the search for peace. Then, she hoped that such frameworks would multiply because the populations need them more than ever.Source: Burkina Information Agency
