Bomborokuy Agricultural Volunteers Conduct First Cowpea Harvest

Ouagadougou: The agricultural Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in Bomborokuy mobilized to carry out the first harvest of cowpeas in one of their fields. This operation marks an important step in the agricultural campaign led by the Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland (VDP) agricultural.

According to Burkina Information Agency, equipped with their tools, the volunteers proceeded to harvest the first cowpea plants that had reached maturity. This first harvest is a source of satisfaction for producers, who hope for a good production at the end of the season. It also testifies to the efforts made by the agricultural VDP to contribute to food production and the resilience of the populations of Bomborokuy.

In the plots, mature cowpea plants are gradually harvested, while others continue their cycle. The mobilization around this first harvest thus reflects the desire of the agricultural VDP to enhance the value of arable land and contribute to food security in the locality.
