Bougouriba: The High Commissioner of Bougouriba Province, Amidou Konat©, officially commenced the 2026 French Baccalaureate examinations by opening the first envelope of exam papers at the Pierre Kula College in Di©bougou. A total of 663 candidates are participating in this significant academic event, spread across three examination boards in the province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the official opening occurred at jury no. 21, specifically for candidates from the A4 series. The exams are distributed among three juries: jury no. 21 at Pierre Kula College and jury no. 22 at the provincial high school, both catering to the A4 series, while jury no. 23 at the municipal high school accommodates candidates from both the A4 and D series.
Ahead of the exam commencement, Mr. Konat© and his delegation visited various examination rooms to motivate candidates and verify the smooth conduct of the exams. Following the visit, Mr. Konat© expressed contentment with the preparations made by the stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of a calm environment for the candidates.
Mr. Konat© reiterated the administration’s commitment to supporting the stakeholders throughout the examination process, expressing hope for a successful session in Bougouriba and across Burkina Faso.
Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, Abdoulaye Sawadogo, confirmed that all necessary organizational measures were in place to address potential challenges. He encouraged candidates to maintain composure and rely on the knowledge they have acquired.
Mr. Sawadogo also cautioned against fraudulent activities, stressing the value of personal effort and diligence. Before departing the exam center, the High Commissioner offered further encouragement and wished the candidates good fortune.
The initial results of the 2026 Baccalaureate exams are anticipated on Thursday, July 2nd.
