Bougouriba: The Federation of Islamic Associations of Burkina Faso (FAIB), Bougouriba provincial coordination, held its Ordinary General Assembly on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in the meeting room of the Di©bougou town hall. This statutory meeting was devoted to reviewing the activity and financial reports for the 2024 and 2025 fiscal years, as well as adopting the program of activities for 2026.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the General Assembly served as a platform for accountability and exchange, allowing provincial coordination leaders to transparently present the actions carried out over the past two years and strengthen trust among members.
FAIB/Bougouriba has organized initiatives such as fundraising and food drives for vulnerable people, prisoners, and the sick. They have also conducted blood drives with support from the Gaoua Regional Blood Transfusion Center, participated in the local Community Day, and held statutory meetings to ensure smooth operations.
The financial report showed that the provincial coordination primarily relies on membership dues. After accounting for income and expenses, a positive balance of at least 150,000 FCFA was recorded, indicating responsible management.
For 2026, FAIB/Bougouriba plans to intensify its social actions to enhance their impact. Courtesy visits to administrative authorities and partners are also planned to strengthen collaboration.
At the meeting, Ouattara Mamoudou, Secretary General of the Islamic Study and Training Circle (CERFI), praised FAIB/Bougouriba's dynamism and emphasized the importance of focusing on social initiatives and financial independence.
A highlight of the assembly was the presentation of a total financial contribution of 500,000 FCFA by FAIB/Bougouriba. Of this, 300,000 FCFA was allocated to the Dªmª Sira initiative and 200,000 FCFA to support the Defense and Security Forces. The ceremony was attended by Aim© Ou©draogo, President of the Special Delegation of the Di©bougou municipality, and Si© Pascal Poda, Provincial Director of Family and Solidarity for Bougouriba.
The provincial director of Family and Solidarity expressed gratitude for FAIB's contribution, emphasizing its benefit to vulnerable social groups and encouraging ongoing community solidarity.
El Hadj Saliou Dao, provincial coordinator of FAIB/Bougouriba, reaffirmed the organization's commitment to supporting authorities and expressed hope for increased future contributions. The proceedings concluded with a collective prayer for peace, stability, and development in Burkina Faso, fostering an atmosphere of social cohesion.
