Bouktenga 2 Triumphs in the “Maracana Commando” Tournament Final

Ourgou-manega: The Bouktenga 2 team emerged victorious in the 2nd edition of the "Maracana Commando" youth football tournament held in Bouktenga, overcoming Lall© in a closely contested final with a scoreline of 1-0.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the competition, hosted on the grounds of the Bouktenga Public Primary School, featured participation from eight teams drawn from the communes of Ourgou-Manega and Zitenga. The decisive goal, which clinched the trophy for Bouktenga 2, came at the end of a balanced and hard-fought match.

The tournament's promoter, Souleymane Sawadogo, an economic operator within the automotive sector, emphasized the initiative's focus on enhancing social cohesion and providing a positive environment for youth development through sports. 'Sport is a powerful unifying force. Through this tournament, we want to create a framework for meeting, fraternity, and peace among young people,' Sawadogo remarked.

The event was graced by its patron, Hadja Niki©ma, also known as "Hadja Naam Zalissa," who made her inaugural visit to Bouktenga for the occasion. She expressed her delight at the strong community involvement and the enthusiasm of the young participants. Niki©ma commended the organizers' efforts and expressed her desire to see the tournament expand in future editions, pledging her support for its growth.

The successful conclusion of the second edition of the "Maracana Commando" tournament underscores its potential to become an annual highlight for the youth of Bouktenga, fostering peace, solidarity, and fraternity within the community. Bouktenga is a village situated in the commune of Ourgou-Manega, within the province of Bassitenga.
