Ouagadougou: Karim Sana, president of the special delegation (PDS) of the Niaogho commune, received a delegation of workers from the Kiaka SA mine, originally from the commune, at the town hall on Wednesday. They presented him with an envelope containing 110,000 FCFA to contribute to the repair of the ambulance at the Niaogho CSPS 1 (Primary Health Care Center 1).

According to Burkina Information Agency, Concerned by the difficulties associated with medical evacuations, these nationals employed at the Kiaka SA mining site mobilized to support the local health sector. Their contribution aims to restore the only ambulance at CSPS 1 to working order, an essential tool for handling medical emergencies.

The PDS welcomed the initiative. It thanked the donors for their act of solidarity and considered this action to be in line with the endogenous development strategy advocated by the authorities. It invited other sons and daughters of the commune to follow suit.

Speaking on behalf of the group, their spokesperson, Mr. Compaor, indicated that this initiative stemmed from their desire to contribute to local development. He emphasized that the unavailability of a working ambulance is a real hardship for patients requiring emergency evacuation.

'Even if the amount collected remains modest, it is our contribution to the common good. No one will develop our community for us,' he said, reaffirming his colleagues' commitment to supporting the development of Niaogho.
