Johannesburg: Schools A and B in Nandiala witnessed a significant environmental uplift as the association "Parents of the World, Uniting for Development" (APMRSUD) spearheaded a reforestation drive on Saturday, August 22. The initiative saw active participation from various stakeholders, including former students of the school, municipal and provincial authorities, educational supervisors, and community members.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event marked the plantation of over two hundred and seventy plants of assorted species across the grounds of schools "A" and "B". The president of APMRSUD, Dr. Charles Zongo, expressed gratitude to all participants, emphasizing the initiative as a gesture of appreciation towards the institution that shaped their early education. He also called on the community to gear up for the upcoming sixty-fifth anniversary of school "A", slated for next year.

The provincial director of water and forests, Nabonsba Hilaire Sayaogo, highlighted the vital role of trees in daily life and urged the community to diligently care for the newly planted trees. The provincial directorate supported the reforestation effort by providing seedlings to the association.

Aminata Diallo, Chair of the Special Delegation, extended her appreciation to the members of the association and the local community for their contributions. She encouraged a sustained commitment to local development, resonating with the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution. Diallo urged the beneficiaries to ensure the growth and maintenance of the plants, underscoring their significance for future generations.
