The living forces of the province of Namentenga propose new reforms to the government
Boulsa, (AIB)- The High Commissioner of the province of Namentenga, Adama Conseiga chaired on June 5 and 6, 2023 in Boulsa, the provincial days of exchanges of the living forces of the province, on the political, institutional and administrative reforms in accordance with the guidelines of the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT).
Establishing the commune of Boulsa as the capital of the region and the commune of Tougouri as the capital of the province, abolishing the electoral map instead of the national identity card, electing the mayor by direct universal costing, are, among others, the proposals made by the living forces of the province of Namentenga.
They met on June 5 and 6, 2023 in Boulsa, to propose new reforms other than those envisaged by the government, during the provincial days of exchanges.
The purpose of the meeting was to inform the active forces about the government's reform projects, collect their points of view on the reforms envisaged by the transitional government and identify possible proposals for new reforms.
The customary chiefdom has requested a special status within the framework of the initiatives requested.
Representatives of religious communities agreed on the need to respect the charter of good conduct in Muslim or Christian preaching, with the aim of promoting social cohesion and living together.
The results obtained after 48 hours of exchanges will be subject to exchanges between the deputies and the representatives of each province of the region for a synthesis in Kaya, capital of the Center-North region on June 26 and 27, 2023 .
The president of the union of transporters, El Hadj Rasmané Ilboudo appreciated the principle of the president of the transition and wished that the proposed reforms be a reality and wished the return of peace in Faso.
The High Commissioner thanked the participants for the results they achieved and for the sacrifices made.
