Boussou Public Officials Pledge Continued Service Amid Security Challenges

Boussou: Workers from the commune of Boussou in the province of Zondoma took part in a meeting initiated by Prefect Alassane Demsili on Wednesday, May 7, 2026. The meeting, which was held at the Boussou town hall, aimed to encourage workers to continue their mission in the current security context in the locality.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the public agents of the municipality of Boussou reaffirmed their full mobilization for the implementation of the guidelines received from the highest authorities of the country, signifying that the services of the State will continue to function for the benefit of the people despite the deteriorating security context in the locality.

Prefect Alassane Demsili expressed his gratitude to the workers whose efforts are resulting in achievements in the fields of education, human and animal health, security, and local development. He also commended the personnel engaged alongside the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in efforts to consolidate formerly occupied and now liberated areas.

The discussions allowed participants to speak with one voice and receive encouragement from the highest authorities in the country, who pledged to support the resilience of those confronting adversity. At the end of the meeting, the Prefect urged all workers to continue their efforts with determination, while cultivating values of resilience, patriotism, and commitment to the service of the Nation.

The commune of Boussou, which borders the Mouhoun loop, is the locality most affected by the security situation in the province of Zondoma.
