Burki Nahouri/SENAC 2023: Populations invited to honor the national colors

Pô, The active forces of the province of Nahouri (Central-South) were invited this Monday, October 23, 2023 to Pô, during the raising of national colors, as part of the 20th edition of the National Week of citizenship (SENAC) to honor the flag and other symbols of the State. The ceremony was chaired by the provincial high commission, Auguste Kinda.

The active forces of the province of Nahouri, in the Center-South region, witnessed on October 22, 2023, within the confines of the Nahouri high commission, a raising of the national flag.

This flag raising ceremony is part of the activities of the 20th edition of National Citizenship Week (SENAC).

Placed under the theme “citizenship in action for the reconquest of the national territory”, this twenty edition aims to encourage populations to appropriate and assume their Burkinabè identity and their individual and collective responsibility.

And on the other hand the consolidation of the sovereignty and economic, social and cultural development of Burkina Faso.

After the raising of the flag to the rhythm of the national anthem, the high commissioner of the province, Auguste Kinda showed his gratitude for the mobilization of the populations, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) of the Pô garrison around this activity .

For Mr. Kinda, this mobilization reflects the population's attachment to the symbols of the State and the promotion of civic values.

The High Commissioner, Auguste Kinda reminded the audience that freedom and dignity were acquired at the cost of “failures, successes, sweat and blood” and this imposes a duty of memory, recognition and vigilance and especially actions to preserve the gains made by those who came before them.

He invited the populations to mobilize massively around the activities which will be programmed for this 20th edition of the event.

According to Mr. Kinda, the raising of the flag took place at the same time in the other municipalities of the province and also marks the official launch of SENAC 2023 activities.

To this end, a special mention was made to Narcisse Sia, a son of the commune of Ziou who was also elected conciliar and CEO of “Confiance Service” who presented 15 flags to the security and administrative services.
