Ouagadougou: The Association for the Development of Tourouba (ADT) Ouagadougou section launched its inaugural cultural day, aimed at promoting San culture and fostering social cohesion among the community members of Tourouba.According to Burkina Information Agency, the event took place at the Larlé youth cultural center and witnessed a significant turnout of Tourouba residents. Ousséni Diéni, president of the ADT Ouagadougou branch, expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the San culture for future generations. He highlighted the role of village elders in relaying cultural values to the youth, especially in the challenging context faced by Burkina Faso.Ousséni Diéni addressed the current difficulties in Burkina Faso, particularly in Mouhoun province, and stressed the importance of promoting peace and unity. He expressed hope that the cultural day would contribute to these efforts as the families return to their villages with renewed commitment to cultural and social cohesion.Barkary Diéni, the president of the cultural day, underscored the resilience of their cultural heritage. He emphasized the determination to continue organizing such events despite challenges, aiming to strengthen cultural pride and community bonds.Patrice Forgo, the event's patron and general director of the Commercial Bank of Burkina (BCB), praised the ADT's initiative to promote San culture.
