Ouagadougou: The head of the Burkinabe government, Apollinaire Joachim Kyelem de Tambela explained that during his stay in China, he discussed with the Chinese side the creation of a shipping company to facilitate trade between the two countries."We discussed the possibility of a China-Burkina joint venture to set up a shipping company to facilitate trade between the two countries," the Prime Minister said during a press briefing.According to him, the Chinese have shown themselves to be in favour of supporting several Burkinabe initiatives, particularly in the priority area of ??agriculture and livestock breeding but also in the area of ??road, rail, airport and energy infrastructure."For a long time there has been a media hype tending to make people believe that there is nothing to be gained (from the Chinese)" said Prime Minister Kyelem of Tambela before concluding that in fact, China offers Africa many more opportunities than the West.Prime Minister Kyelem de Tambela led the Burkina Faso delegation to the Africa-China Cooperation Forum which took place from September 4 to 6, 2024 under the central theme: Joining forces to promote modernization and build a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.Source: Burkina Information Agency
