Ouagadougou: The Go Paga Foundation, in collaboration with the Union of African Fashion, Clothing and Beauty Training Centers (UCAMMBA), has successfully trained 165 vulnerable women over two years, enhancing their skills in trades such as sewing, hairdressing, and soap making to promote their professional integration and empowerment.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the foundation's president, Fadima Kambou, emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating that empowering women leads to renewed hope for entire families. These women, trained through the partnership between her foundation and UCAMMBA, are now prepared to integrate professionally into society. Kambou highlighted that women with jobs are better equipped to support their families, contribute to community development, and foster societal progress.

Kambou expressed her gratitude to technical and financial partners, Coris Bank International and the M©rieux Foundation, who funded the training of these women. She underscored the foundation's vision of fostering female entrepreneurship, aiming to see these women become wealth creators and contributors to Burkina Faso's economic development. The beneficiaries, primarily from training centers in Ouagadougou, Koudougou, Kaya, and Fada N'Gourma, received Professional Qualification Certificates (CQP) and Professional Qualification Diplomas (BQP).

The event's co-sponsor, Fatim TourKomkobo, encouraged the women to maintain high standards in their work and act with integrity, crucial for their professional growth and empowerment. She urged them to become honest entrepreneurs who prioritize quality in their endeavors.

Minister of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, Moumouni Zoungrana, praised the Go Paga Foundation's initiative, acknowledging its vital role in promoting vocational training and the professional integration of women in Burkina Faso. He assured that the government's efforts align with such initiatives to expedite the country's development.

At the ceremony's conclusion, the women received diplomas and installation kits to support their journey toward empowerment. Since 2021, the Go Paga Foundation has prioritized empowering vulnerable individuals, particularly internally displaced persons and women, as its core mission.
