Burkina Faso: Golden Stallion Receives the Blessings of His Majesty the Mogho Naaba Baongo

Ouagadougou: The general commission of the prestigious sporting event, Etalon en Or, was received in audience on Friday by His Majesty the Mogho Naaba Baongo, who gave his blessings for this award ceremony on June 26 to take place well. His Majesty the Mogho Naaba affixed his signature to the official Stallion of Gold scarf to demonstrate his support for the event. A royal gesture, highly symbolic for the organizing committee, which is working tirelessly to ensure the success of the ceremony. This unique scarf will accompany the collector’s jersey that will be auctioned off during the grand ceremony on June 26th at the Faso Cultural Center.

According to Burkina Information Agency, for the Organizing Committee, it is much more than an autograph. “It is a royal blessing, the highest moral endorsement for Etalon en Or 2026. It is the heart of Burkina Faso that validates, supports, and accompanies excellence,” said Etalon en Or Commissioner General Lassina Sawadogo.

The Etalons en Or awards recognize Burkinab¨ athletes who compete internationally and make “the star of Faso shine on the world stage.” Four main awards (trophies) will be presented: the football award, the award in related disciplines, the Burkindi award for the best female athletes of the season, and the Hope Award for young talents.
