The organization of the Hajj pilgrimage, managed by the State through the National Committee, involves the recruitment of pilgrims and selection of service providers in Saudi Arabia. Pilgrims can choose their own travel agency. A new registration platform, "Ehad," has been introduced to resolve past issues. Information and training sessions will be held for agencies and stakeholders, as stated by the ministry's technical advisor.
Further reforms include formalizing agency groupings based on the number of enrolled pilgrims to improve logistics in the Holy Land. Burkinabe trainers will be sent to Jeddah in November for further training, equipping them to train others involved in the Hajj organization.
The cost of meals in Medina and Mecca will remain unchanged from the 2026 Hajj, with the possibility of continuing payment for the sheep via the Saudi platform pending confirmation. The overall pilgrimage cost will be announced later.
Air Burkina will continue to provide transportation for pilgrims, with enhanced travel conditions. Compliance with mandatory medical fitness certification, as per Saudi health standards, will be ensured by the National Organizing Committee.
Authorities stressed professionalism and prioritizing pilgrims' interests, warning of severe penalties for any sabotage attempts, referencing incidents from the 2026 pilgrimage.
