Ouagadougou:The President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, along with Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo, visited the government exhibition at the Ouagadougou International Arts and Crafts Fair (SIAO) on Friday, October 2, 2026. This event is part of the second phase of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Civic Participation (JEPPC), aiming to showcase public action achievements and foster dialogue between citizens and government officials.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the exhibition featured 28 booths from various government departments and institutions, where representatives presented their achievements, reforms, and key initiatives. The Prime Minister's Office booth highlighted the government's main accomplishments, with Chief of Staff Mamadou Demb©l© providing a detailed presentation. Additionally, the Prime Minister gifted President Traor© a copy of the 2025 edition of the Prime Minister's Office Annals.
The Prime Minister emphasized the exhibition as a significant innovation of the JEPPC's second phase, aiming to connect government actions with citizens in line with the Popular Progressive Revolution's vision. He stressed the importance of not limiting the event to an institutional showcase.
Throughout the program, ministers are available at the booths to engage directly with visitors, addressing their questions and discussing the reforms' objectives and results. The exhibition serves as a platform for information, dialogue, and accountability.
The Prime Minister encouraged citizens to visit the SIAO to learn about the projects and achievements attributed to the people's patriotic commitment. He also noted that this initiative is a pilot project, with potential plans to expand similar exhibitions to other regions and provinces in Burkina Faso to enhance public dialogue.
